Transformational Art Experiences Happen Here…
The Open Your Art Studio
Open Your Art invites you into creative community through Art or Ceramic classes, lessons, or events! Our studio is located in Room 102 of the Charlotte Street Art Centre. Open Your Art is a Mixed Media Studio that is dedicated to being intergenerational, truly accessible, and inclusive. We focus on finding safe entry points for equity-deserving groups in the community.
Every ability is welcome here.
The Beginner Experience
Students are encouraged to move at their own pace, explore textures, and follow curiosity wherever it leads. Each week offers a new sensory experience—clay, paint, collage, natural materials—where there’s no “wrong way” to make art.
Our instructors support each student’s unique creative process, providing gentle structure for those who need it and open-ended freedom for those who thrive on experimentation.
The Intermediate Experience
Intermediate and returning students will have the opportunity to lead their own program by choosing from over 100 Open Your Art curriculum projects in our studio library to customize within their chosen media. Leadership skills in the art community begin as students learn to build a portfolio, develop a cohesive body of work/create with a theme, prepare for and participate in a group art show, print a book, and design a ware.
